The Des Moines City Council set March 19 as the date to fill an at-large council seat. The seat was previously held by Connie Boesen, who in November was elected the city’s mayor. People interested in vying for the at-large council seat have until 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, to file nomination papers with the Polk County Election Office.
