The North Iowa Community College Pappajohn Center and the Small Business Development Center in Mason City are offering a free two-hour virtual workshop designed for Iowans considering starting a business. At Start Smart, participants will learn how to create a business plan, learn how to conduct market research, discuss different types of business ownership, and learn how to register a business. Start Smart will be offered on Aug. 11, via Zoom from 2 to 4 p.m. Registration is required and can be completed by visiting the Pappajohn Center website and clicking on the Program and Events tab.
