A new online portal has been created to help veterans and their families find jobs in Iowa, Iowa Workforce Development announced last week. According to a news release, the new portal provides veterans with one-on-one job search assistance, and helps employers find people who served in the military. The portal provides access to tools and resources offered by IowaWORKS and Home Base Iowa, while offering information about the benefits Iowa provides to veterans. “Combining the new portal with the Home Base Iowa career planners, as well as the veterans services available in all our IowaWORKS offices, provides more assistance than ever before and an easier route for Veterans and their spouses to build a better life in Iowa after service,” said Beth Townsend, director of Iowa Workforce Development.
