The Iowa DPS will use Tyler’s Enterprise Computer-Aided Dispatch, Enterprise Law Enforcement Records and Public Safety Analytics products. The new technologies will support integration between departments for easier information sharing, updated records and warrant application interfaces, analytics tools for public safety personnel to track metrics and analyze crime trends, and enhanced response times for multi-jurisdictional dispatching, a news release said. “The state of Iowa has been using a homegrown public safety system for more than 30 years, serving as a hub for all public safety agencies in the state,” Iowa DPS Captain Heath Hove said in a prepared statement. “While the system has served us well, we recognized the opportunity to better integrate departmental silos. We look forward to updating and overhauling our current applications, bringing more streamlined communication to our agencies and officers across the state.”
