State plans new energy plan
The state is looking for a company to help assemble a new state energy plan. Proposals are due Aug. 7. The plan will assess current and future energy supply and demand, examine energy policies and programs, and identify emerging energy challenges and opportunities. A goal will be to promote energy, economic and environmental benefits. Work groups will provide input, and a series of forums across the state will gather comments, too. The plan will be guided by the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the Iowa Department of Transportation. Read more
