State sales tax may come to Netflix, Spotify
The Iowa House is proposing a new sales tax for “new economy” services like Uber, Netflix and Spotify, the Des Moines Register reports. Under the bill, users of sharing services would have to pay the 6 percent sales tax as if they were purchasing services or items from a store.
