Statewide home sales down in April, but prices rise

Sales dropped 6.5% over the period to 3,192, with single-family properties declining 8.5%, offset by an 8.1% rise in sales of townhome and condo properties from last year in April. Meanwhile, the number of new properties for sale increased 15.6% to 6,278. The median sales price increased to $164,000 from $157,000 in April 2018 and homes sold faster by 7.5%.
