STEM master’s candidates come to U.S., Canada from around the globe

The New York Times reports that 68 percent of master’s degree candidates in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields were international students, according to an annual survey of U.S. and Canadian universities. By comparison, 40 percent of computer science doctoral candidates were from other countries.
