Study: 48 states losing jobs at faster pace under Obama
Forty-eight states have been losing jobs at a faster pace under President Barack Obama than under former President George W. Bush, according to a study done by Buffalo-based business journal Business First.
Iowa was one of 25 states to lose private-sector jobs during Obama’s presidency after gaining private-sector jobs during Bush’s presidency.
According to the report, the state gained 146 jobs per month under Bush and has lost 1,320 jobs per month under Obama.
The origin of the problems are up for debate: A Rasmussen Report survey released on Nov. 2 found that 49 percent of likely voters blamed Bush for the nation’s current economic problems, compared with 44 percent who blamed Obama.
