A new study by ARAG Legal and Financial Solutions reports workers are having more personal legal problems and that could affect productivity.

Three out of four people experienced at least one legal life event  — family, financial, home or auto-related legal issues — in the past year. This is up from 69 percent in 2007.

Other key findings include: 55 percent of employees who experienced a legal life event reported it affected their work, up from 45 percent in 2007; in the past 12 months, employees spent 17 hours at work and took 9.5 days off work to deal with legal life events.
