Des Moines Register: A Subway franchise owner is suing Blackbird Investments for failing to provide promised rental space for the restaurant in a planned high-rise tower in downtown Des Moines. Sandhu Group of Companies Inc. filed its lawsuit on July 14, alleging a $100,000 breach of contract by Des Moines-based Blackbird. So far, there has been no construction, and the fate of the project is uncertain.
