Tom Swank, top photo, the CEO and executive chairman of American Enterprise Group Inc., will retire from the CEO position at the end of the year, and David Keith, bottom photo, president of insurance solutions for the company, has been named his successor, the company announced today.

Swank, who joined AEG as CEO in 2015, will continue on as chairman of AEG’s board of directors. He was named chairman of the board in November 2022 and took over those responsibilities in March.

Keith joined AEG in 2016 as chief operations officer. In his current role, he oversees sales, product solutions, customer service, technology and innovation teams, and AE Ventures, the insurtech arm for AEG. Before joining AEG, Keith was the founder and CEO of se2, a third-party technology solutions provider and administrator for life and annuity companies.

“Since joining AEG, he has made significant contributions to our leadership team and in our insurance solutions division,” Swank said.

Keith said he’s grateful for Swank’s guidance and leadership during the transition, and for the support of the board of directors.

“In my time with the company, I have been impressed and encouraged by the extraordinary talent, forward-thinking solutions, and customer-focused mentality of the entire organization,” he said in the release.
