wineTech Inc. was selected as the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Farm Bureau Entrepreneur of the Year, winning $30,000. John Deere supported the competition. Matthew Rooda and Abraham Espinoza, co-founders of SwineTech, topped the other three finalists that emerged from 471 applicants to advance in October. SwineTech is located in New Sharon and works to improve monitoring and farrowing operations to prevent pig deaths.
