Syverson Stege’s three-part Challenges of Aging luncheon series will begin Aug. 24 with “The Art of Decluttering and Downsizing.” During the event, Anne Nieland of Smart Senior Transitions will give tips on how to declutter and ways to make donations more meaningful. The series will continue with sessions on identity theft protection on Sept. 19 and cooking and nutrition on Oct. 24. Stephanie Labenz, nutrition and wellness specialist at Aging Resources of Central Iowa, will discuss downsizing meal preparation and cooking processes, as well as share resources for how to shop and cook to accommodate a diabetes- or heart health-friendly diet.
