Table 128 aims to reopen on spring break, owner says

Table 128, a farm-to-table restaurant that shuttered in 2021, is planning to reopen in downtown Des Moines this spring, owner and chef Lynn Pritchard told the Iowa Podcast. Pritchard told the podcast his target date is to do soft opens the week of spring break, March 11 to 15, but noted it’s a “moving” target. The restaurant’s original location was in Clive at 12695 University Ave. until July 2021, when the building’s landlord decided to not renew Table 128’s lease. The new location is at 220 S.W. Ninth St., a mixed-use building in the Gray’s Landing development. On the podcast, Pritchard said the relocation was intended to happen in late 2021 and shared that it was delayed by several things, including higher interest rates, his father’s death and a bringing a new investor into the business. Pritchard also owns 503 Cocktail Lab and Tasting Room in the East Village and plans to open Hugo’s Wood-Fired Kitchen next to the new WesleyLife Meals on Wheels location at 3206 University Ave. in the Drake neighborhood.
