Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity will use nearly $4.5 million in federal new market tax credits to build 27 homes ranging in size from 1,023 square feet to 1,320 square feet in the Rive Bend, Union Park, King Irving, Mondamin Presidential, Capitol Park and Drake neighborhoods. Construction will be completed by May 2013. The tax credits are part of a $12 million package distributed to other Habitat organizations in Iowa.
