Techau named executive director at Keep Iowa Beautiful
Former board member Kevin Techau has been named executive director of Keep Iowa Beautiful. “Kevin is a servant leader, giving back to the state of Iowa and our nation in everything he does,” said Reo Menning, board chairwoman for the nonprofit organization. “KIB will benefit from his steadfast leadership, relationships and longtime commitment to the mission of the organization.” The group was founded by Gov. Robert Ray and business executive Don Lamberti. Techau replaces longtime director Gerry Schnepf. Techau is an attorney with Smith, Mills & Schrock with offices in Cedar Rapids, Des Moines and Omaha. He worked as U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Iowa 2014-2017.
