The Technologistas of Iowa and the Iowa Black Business Coalition are holding a mentorship event at  5:30 p.m. May 14 at Principal Financial Group Inc., 750 Park St. Dubbed the Mentorship Mingle, the event is aimed at women in technology and minority business-owners who want to learn more about becoming a mentor or learning under a mentor. Some development authorities have cited a lack of mentors for women and minorities in Iowa’s business world, which makes it more difficult for younger crowds to feel welcome in the community.
