Telepharm acquired by CardinalHealth
Iowa City-based Telepharm has been acquired by Cardinal Health, the Corridor Business Journal reported. Cardinal Health, a $26 billion public company based in Dublin, Ohio, acquired Telepharm in July for an undisclosed sum. TelePharm will maintain its headquarters in Iowa City, and its team of 18, including founder Roby Miller, will remain employed under Cardinal Health. TelePharm developed a web-based platform for pharmacists to communicate with customers and supervise remote dispensing of pharmaceuticals, which has expanded to 12 states since the TelePharm system was used to open Iowa’s first telepharmacy in Victor in 2012.
