Terrus joins international CRE group
Terrus Real Estate Group has joined TCN Worldwide, an international commercial real estate organization comprising more than 45 independently owned brokerage firms with more than 60 offices and 1,200 brokers worldwide.
The Plano, Texas-based group offers a number of services to its member firms, including a database of investment properties with an e-mail list of more than 20,000 investors who have been identified as potential buyers of commercial real estate; a transaction database, which keeps on file basic contact information related to various firms and lists more than 25,000 transactions done by various members; and a client database with a list of more than 12,000 clients who have done business “in some continuing capacity” with one or more of TCN’s firms, said H. Ross Ford, president and CEO.
“They fit very well in our model and our system,” Ross said of Terrus, the exclusive Iowa affiliate of TCN. He said the firm’s experience in corporate real estate transactions and Bill Wright’s experience in the local brokerage and leasing market make Terrus an attractive addition.
“We are thrilled to join TCN Worldwide and their international network of brokers,” said Wright, Terrus’ managing director of transaction services. “Their platform will launch our firm to new heights and deliver to our clients and employees an expanded level of resources.”
Wright said his company “felt not having a national platform put us at a disadvantage” in winning local business, and he believes the investment database will bolster its ability to market investment properties outside Greater Des Moines and the state of Iowa.
“While real estate is mainly a local business, a national presence is critical in this highly competitive market,” he said. “Our decision to join TCN levels the playing field, and in my opinion gives us a clear advantage in the marketplace.”
