Texas Roadhouse plans to open a restaurant at 2363 Adventureland Drive in Altoona on a 2.15-acre parcel west of the Cinemark Movie Theater. The Altoona City Council earlier this month approved a site plan for the project, which will include a 7,392-square-foot restaurant and 3,643-square-foot outdoor patio that will seat 32 people. The outdoor seating will overlook a large pond, according to information provided to the City Council. Texas Roadhouse is a popular steakhouse chain based in Kentucky. The chain has 10 other Iowa locations, including sites in West Des Moines and Urbandale.
