Three Des Moines professionals have received national recognition by being named to the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy’s 2019 40 Under 40 List. The Des Moines honorees are Sophia S. Ahmad, senior director of development, MercyOne Des Moines Foundation; Brenna Finnerty, senior director of development, UnityPoint Health-Des Moines Foundation; and Eric Heininger, managing director, Eden+ Fundraising Consulting. The program is designed to recognize future leaders within the health care philanthropy community. Honorees were chosen by a peer review committee and were evaluated on tangible fundraising results, field accomplishments and community leadership. Des Moines is one of five cities nationwide with multiple honorees. The 40 honorees will be recognized at the 2019 AHP Annual International Conference held Oct. 23-26 in Washington, D.C. Finnerty and Ahmad were recognized as Forty Under 40 winners by the Business Record in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
