Three Greater Des Moines startups receive funding

The Iowa Economic Development Authority board today also provided funding to three Greater Des Moines-based startups based on recommendations from the Technology Commercialization Committee:
  • My Diabetes Home LLC in Des Moines was awarded a $25,000 proof of commercial relevance grant for market research activities. The company provides technology tools for patients managing diabetes. MDH has developed a research platform to streamline the clinical trial recruitment process and help research centers recruit patients for ongoing and future clinical trials.
  • AgriSync Inc. in Waukee received a $100,000 loan via the Iowa Innovation Acceleration Launch Fund, primarily for product refinement. The company makes cloud-based software for mobile field support in agriculture. The company’s product is sold to ag service advisers and input vendors such as seed, chemical and machinery providers.
  • ClinicNote in Des Moines was awarded a $100,000 loan through the Demonstration Fund for key personnel, market planning and entry activities and product refinement. The company has developed an electronic medical record system designed for speech-language pathologists to facilitate the submission and review of insurance documentation and improve the practice management of therapy services.
