More than 130 environmental, community and business leaders will gather tonight to celebrate 25 years of success for the state’s largest environmental coalition. The Iowa Environmental Council will host the event at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden. The nonprofit organization will honor influential founders and friends including J.C. “Buz” Brenton, Mark Ackelson, Art Cullen, the Garst family and others, and celebrate the future of the organization’s work. Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Attendees will enjoy free parking, heavy appetizers and a complimentary drink, and entertainment from local musicians Scott Davis and Jordan Beem.
