Tippie to offer 16-month Executive MBA option
The Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa announced upcoming enhancements to its Executive Master of Business Administration program, including a new accelerated 16-month program that adds online classes and personalized executive coaching.
The enhancements will begin with the executive MBA cohorts that start in both the Iowa City and the Des Moines locations in August 2019. The program normally takes 21 months to complete. The move follows recent announcements that the college is adding an online option to its part-time MBA program and adding specialized master’s programs in finance and business analytics.
“There are societal shifts impacting all business education, and executive programs are no exception,” said Sarah Gardial, dean of the Tippie College of Business. “With continued improvements to our program, we are delivering on our promise to have one of the top executive programs in the country.”
The accelerated program did not require approval by the Board of Regents, a university spokesman said, “since it just modifies an existing program by adding the online option for those students who want to shorten their time to degree.”
