Fareway recently presented a check for more than $319,000 and more than 75 pallets of toys to the U.S. Marine Corps for its Toys for Tots campaign, which provides toys to children during the holiday season. The donations were collected at all 133 Fareway store locations. The Marine Corps reports that in 2022, the Toys for Tots campaign helped more than 55,000 children and distributed over 161,210 toys, books and stocking stuffers, with campaign proceeds totaling over $633,000. Fareway, a Boone-based grocery company, is a family-owned business with more than 12,000 employees.
