Transamerica proposes $40 million Cedar Rapids campus investment

The plans include renovation of the 160,000-square-foot former HIBU facility, which is currently vacant, and renovation of the existing 320,000-square-foot Transamerica building. They also include a new 51,300-square-foot addition to connect the two buildings. All Transamerica employees will be relocated to the campus. The Cedar Rapids City Council on Tuesday will consider a request from the company for tax incentives.
