Innovation and entrepreneurship leader Terry Jones will give the luncheon keynote speaker at the 30th annual Iowa SMART Economic Development Conference May 7 at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center in Des Moines. Jones co-founded Travelocity.com and served as founding chairman of Kayak.com. Today, Jones is the chairman of WayBlazer and managing principal of ON Inc., a consulting company focused on transitioning to the digital economy. The daylong conference will include general sessions, workshops and networking opportunities for business and community leaders, elected officials, board members and others. Other speakers will include state economic development officials, migration researcher Lyman Stone and public financing expert Bob Josten.
