The Corridor Business Journal reports that some trucking companies are buying other companies and rigs to address the situation. Heartland Express Chairman and CEO Mike Gerdin told the Journal’s recent Economic Forecast Luncheon that the hot market — one of the best he’s seen — gave him a “permanent smile.”
