Two-fifths of Iowans search for jobs online
Connect Iowa released a new report today that says “broadband is critical to empowering Iowa’s workforce” and that 720,000 Iowans use the Internet to search or apply for jobs.
As broadband Internet access expands across the state, Connect Iowa says there has become a link between the Internet and applying for jobs.
The report said about 53 percent of Iowans with incomes less than $25,000 search for jobs online. About 57,000 Iowabusinesses do not use online applications, according to the report. Click here to download the report.
