Two more Des Moines budget presentations scheduled
The city of Des Moines will have two budget presentations in a town hall forum setting at 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Central Library, 1000 Grand Ave. The budget for fiscal years 2013 and 2014 was presented today during a Des Moines City Council workshop. The city is facing a $7.2 million budget deficit and has conducted town hall meetings to get ideas on what programs and services are important to residents.
