Two words I don’t see other women using enough on LinkedIn

Last year, Natalie Cooper-Berthe noticed a disconcerting trend while networking on LinkedIn. Although her diverse network was predominantly comprised of female professionals and entrepreneurs, around 90 percent of the people who turned up in search results were white men. Not even the entrepreneurial women she knew showed up. Where’d they go? What happened to them?

While it may have come down to the demographics of LinkedIn users, the idiosyncrasies of the platform’s search algorithm, or some other factor, the issue appeared to be language or words the women in her network failed to use.
