The Class of 2017 at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University are each composed of 43 percent women. Harvard Business School, Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and Stanford University’s MBA classes stand at 42 percent, and at University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, women represent 41 percent of the new class. The rise has been rapid. In 2005, women represented just 29 percent of enrollment at top schools, according to the Forté Foundation, a nonprofit group that aims to boost the number of women.
