UI delays private energy system
The University of Iowa without explanation delayed its plans to seek proposals for a private company to take over the campus utilities in exchange for an endowment payment, the Iowa City Press-Citizen reported. A UI spokeswoman told the newspaper the university was still receiving comments on the proposal, but declined to say how long the delay would be or why the time frame was extended. The university had planned to seek proposals Monday.
