University of Iowa Health Care has announced it will open a new clinic in Urbandale at 2901 N.W. 86th Street on Sept. 8. According to a news release, UI Health Care aims to provide patients living in Central and western Iowa with more convenient access to care by moving some of the adult and pediatric specialty services currently offered at the West Des Moines and Johnston locations to the new clinic. These services include adult hepatology, pediatric nephrology, pediatric urology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility services and more. “We are proud of the excellent services our clinics already provide in the Des Moines area, supporting UI Health Care’s broader mission to provide world-class care for all Iowans, close to home,” Rachel Kirchner, director of UI Community Clinics, said in a prepared statement. “By moving select adult and pediatric specialty services to a central location, we can improve the patient experience and expand access to the care we currently provide in this community.”
