Unemployment back pay faces further delays for some

After a seven-week wait, the Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation payments will arrive in workers’ accounts by Feb. 25. However, Townsend told a state legislative subcommittee that some claimants will only get one week’s worth of payments in the initial deposit — though they may be owed far more.
