UNI announces opportunities for students to complete graduate programs
The University of Northern Iowa has announced that it will waive recency requirements for students looking to complete their graduate degree within the next 24 months. This initiative allows UNI graduate students who earned credits towards an unfinished master’s degree to pick up where they left off in their academic journey. In addition to the waiver, UNI announced a $500 scholarship for returning students who enroll in one or more credits, which aims to alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with resuming higher education. “Our goal is to create a flexible, supportive environment for UNI students who wish to continue their work toward a master’s or doctoral degree after a temporary break. We understand that life circumstances can change, and we want to make it as easy as possible for students to re-engage with their studies,” said Stephanie Huffman, dean of the college of graduate, research and online education.
