Jane Gilbertson, CEO and owner of Janesville, Wis.-based Blain Supply Inc. and Blain’s Farm & Fleet, will give the keynote presentation. The event will focus on family-owned businesses and their impact on the Iowa economy. “Participating in UNI’s Family Business Forum has opened my eyes to how long businesses can survive and grow while remaining fully family-owned,” Al Myers, president of Ag Leader, said in a prepared statement. “We’ve met many third-, fourth- and even fifth-generation family-owned businesses.” Networking, a cocktail hour and tours will be available after the scheduled events. Generational family businesses that are members of the UNI’s Family Business Conference will receive two complimentary tickets to the event, as well as a discounted price of $75 for all additional tickets purchased. Nonmember tickets cost $175, and an early-bird discount of $25 off of all tickets runs through Aug. 31. More details about the event and registration is available here.
