United Way and Community Foundation to unveil food insecurity plan

The community-wide plan, developed by the Central Iowa Food Security Planning Committee, aims to address issues that limit access to equitable opportunities for Central Iowans. The event will include speakers from the Food Bank of Iowa, Mid-Iowa Health Foundation, Urbandale Food Pantry and Des Moines Area Religious Council, and takes place from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Feb. 6 at the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines.
