Ramona Gaukel, grants director at United Way of Central Iowa, recently earned the Grants Professional Certification by the Grant Professionals Certification Institute. She is one of only two Iowans to hold this certification. The GPC certification program measures grant professionals’ ability to provide quality grant-related services within an ethical framework. Gaukel has been in her current role since 2011. In that role, she has secured and administered 40 grants that advance community priorities in education, financial stability and health.
