The United Way of Central Iowa announced that seven new members have been elected to its board of directors. The members began their two-year terms on July 1. They serve as volunteer leaders who advise on decisions that directly affect work being done by the United Way. The new members are:

• Emily Abbas, senior vice president, chief consumer banking and marketing officer, Bankers Trust.
• Chris Blunt, CEO, Fidelity and Guaranty Life.
• Dr. Tony Coleman, CEO, Broadlawns Medical Center.
• Chris Terhark, managing director, audit assurant, Deloitte & Touche LLP.
• Erica Jensen, chief communications officer, Dotdash Meredith.
• Tanner Krause, CEO, Kum & Go LC.
• The Rev. Jonathan Whitfield, senior pastor, Corinthian Baptist Church.
