United Way of Central Iowa will partner with Wells Fargo Co. to provide multiyear financial counseling for low- and moderate-income households.

For the next three years, Wells Fargo will give United Way $100,000 each year to partner with the Evelyn K. Davis Center for Working Families, local nonprofits, schools, churches and Wells Fargo volunteers.

The funding will be used to coach low-income households on how to cover monthly expenses, track spending, save money and use mainstream banking services. United Way of Central Iowa is one of eight United Ways selected for the Financial Capability Network.
