UnityPoint Health has named Mike Dewerff as president and CEO for the Fort Dodge region. Dewerff was previously president and chief financial officer for UnityPoint Health-Fort Dodge, which includes Trinity Regional Medical Center, UnityPoint Clinic, Berryhill Center and UnityPoint at Home. Earlier in his career, he was the CFO at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake. Dewerff succeeds Sue Thompson, who was president and CEO for six years. A native of Fargo, N.D., he has an accounting degree from Minnesota State University-Moorhead, and an MBA from Wayne State College. He is currently a national board director with Healthcare Financial Management Association.
