135 wordsAll Latest News, Health & WellnessDavid Stark has been named president and CEO of UnityPoint Health-Des Moines effective July 1. He succeeds Eric Crowell, who will retire after 17 years in UnityPoint leadership. Stark began working at UnityPoint Health–Des Moines in 1995. He has worked as chief operating officer at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, president and COO for Blank Children’s Hospital, and as executive vice president and COO for UnityPoint Health–Des Moines. Stark has served on the boards of Iowa Public Television, the YMCA, the Principal Charity Classic, the Dowling Catholic Foundation and the American Heart Association. An Iowa native, Stark has a master’s degree in hospital and health administration from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in business administration in management with an emphasis on operations from Iowa State University. He and his wife, Becky, have four children.
