The North Liberty-based credit union announced Wednesday that it would change its name to GreenState Credit Union. In 2018, the Iowa Legislature and Gov. Kim Reynolds approved an end-of-session budget bill with an amendment banning Iowa credit unions from using the name of state universities in their titles.
