The first of four public forums involving finalists in the search for a new president at the University of Iowa will be held Thursday, Aug. 27. Each of the forums will be held at the Iowa Memorial Union on campus. The forums will occur over two weeks to allow time for the public and campus constituencies to provide feedback to the board, the regents said. Three additional forums will be held Aug. 28, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1; each forum will be held from 4:45 to 6:15 p.m. Live video streaming of each public forum and a recording upon its conclusion will be available on the UI presidential search website. Following the campus visits, the Board of Regents will convene a meeting Sept. 3 in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union to interview the candidates and select a new president.
