Commercial building permits valued at more than $50 million were issued for projects in 13 Des Moines-area communities and Polk County in December 2020, data from the permits shows.

The commercial building permit map includes information about permits issued beginning Jan. 1, 2020.
The map above is interactive. Click on each icon to see permit value, address and city, type of construction, builder, architect or designer, and owner. The permits included in the map are for of projects valued at $100,000 or more or of public interest.
The icons are color coded for convenience:
Red – New construction
Blue – Remodels or renovations
Green – Additions
Yellow – Other
