Urbandale Public Art Committee seeks community input on Douglas interchange artwork

110 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and Culture, Government Policy and LawThe city of Urbandale is seeking public feedback on three interchange public art finalists, to be placed at the two dedicated median spaces along Douglas Avenue off I-35/80. Input on the three finalists’ proposals will be accepted until Feb. 17 online, where proposal illustrations can be viewed, or by writing the Parks and Recreation office at 3600 86th St. The three finalists are “Love You to the Moon & Raise You to the Stars” by Clint Hansen, “Growth & Opportunity” by Sam Spiczka, and “Urban Gothic” by Tony Stallard. A finalist will be selected in March, and the project is expected to be installed by the end of 2020.
