The Urbandale Community School District has received Tier 3 Leadership Level — Gold Achievement recognition in the 2017 Iowa Recognition for Performance Excellence program, making it the first school district in the state to achieve the highest level in Iowa’s national Baldridge-based quality program. The Iowa Recognition for Performance Excellence and the Iowa Quality Center announced the statewide winners on Friday. The program recognizes role model organizations in education, manufacturing, nonprofit, health care and business that complete a rigorous organizational assessment leading to sustainability and maintaining a future focus on performance excellence, IRPE Executive Director Gary Nesteby said. Among other organizations recognized was Businessolver in West Des Moines, which received the Tier 3 Bronze Leadership — Bronze Achievement award.
