Variety awards more than $1.9 million to children’s initiatives
Variety — the Children’s Charity granted more than $1.9 million to children’s initiatives throughout Iowa, funding 71 children’s organizations this year, Variety announced. Variety grants provide money for capital projects, essential medical equipment, shelters, Variety vans and more. The organization has provided 62 specialized mobility pieces, 500 traditional bikes, helmets and locks to children, and developed three inclusive playgrounds in the state, the organization said.
